So it’s been a while, just a quick update, my throats still very sore, I have a noticeable lump on the left hand side of my neck, swallowing is still very painful, my headaches are back with a vengeance..

I am eating ok, it hurts to swallow and as I expected I have no real saliva, so crisps are impossible, even a biscuit with a cuppa is impossible. Posting this as I am seeing the consultant tomorrow

So after consultation they seem to be happy with where I am and target is to rescan end of January, mentioned headaches they don’t seem to be to concerned and until the scans it’s pointless speculating

So I can taste a few things now, a pint of beer is good as it’s not too gassy

Lager or cider hurts to drink

Eating ok, but I can’t open my mouth fully, so takes me ages to eat, but it’s better than it was.

Throat and Ch0king issue is same, not got much strength, but we’ll have to see how things go

Well done on your promotion.

Is there any other option you can have for feeding? Are you getting enough down you?

No I’m eating fine, I have what’s called a stomach peg, but haven’t used it for weeks, the problem is no wet saliva, my right hand side of my throat feels like it’s had major surgery and is really sensitive, so nothing spiced even mint sauce hurts lol

Friut veg= Smoothie

Then changed bread To brown and eat it very little. .went back to butter not marge.no red meat . No chocolate. Lol that was hard..

I use to have chips daily for 20+ yrs...so cut down to 3 times aweek..lol.

I must say my weigh has gone up since on new food plan..

Was a boxer in youth and have always maintained steady weight..

I am now just 5 kg heavier. .lol

No macdonlds .lol

So don't stress. .knowledge is the key....chemo kills everything in yr body and really aint good for u at all..

See my consultant yesterday, all as per expected, please I have my sense of taste back, explained no guarantees they got the cancer, scans would be end of January and now on my monthly plan as per all people in remission.

Explained about headaches, but he seemed ok and did a physical examination. So now we have to wait about 8 weeks

Thanks, throuought all of this I just think, life can deal anyone a bum steer, I’m just unlucky. This could be anyone..

The reason I put my blog was to raise Robles awareness and understand what one has to go through, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, but it’s something you have to face up to if you’re disgnosed

Wish you all the best for your recovery Stellaheels.

I get migraines and found that taking magnesium every night (four hours after eating food) has lessened them dramatically. It might be worth a try and certainly won't do you any harm.

Take care

I`m sorry you're going through this. I currently have a scarily high number of friends & acquaintances fighting cancer, including a 38yo father of 2 young girls & a 42yo. It royally sucks arse.

I usually order it from Amazon. 500mg 90 tablets (one a night) £4.15 (Lindens) and comes in a packet rather than a plastic container. I take them on an empty stomach, four hours after food as magnesium is a relaxant

Update,

So few weeks on now, just wanted to update you all, my sense of taste is vertically back to normal, but spicey and acidic foods hurt like hell, as do fizzy drinks ..

I’m going to go back to work (phased return)

Next week, alll was ok, but last couple of days my headaches and throat have got much worse, hopefully it’s a part of healing process.. I can’t walk very far now, and have a walking stick to help. ( spinal stenosis), and my right shoulder joint has become very painful god knows why.

But hey still here still going!!

But have promised to reel in my honest approach in forums as apparently I have been a little to sharp in my honesty.. sorry to anyone I offended I don’t intend to do that. I do get a little down from time to time, but it’s the headaches and continual sore throat ( 10 months now)

Hope all who read leave comments as I love to read them xx

Still love to cross dress and yes I am a tv

But no I’m not gay.. lol

Morning all, I’m a bit concerned, I am due back to work Wednesday, by returning my insurance monthly payment will cease, and I cannot claim for another 12 months, last three days I have been troubled with severe aching in my right shoulder and upper arm. I know it may not be anything much, the pain is so bad I can’t sleep, no matter which way I turn it’s constant pain. I feel perhaps I should seek medical advise and postpone going back to work, but I have literally just been promoted and don’t want to hinder that position.

It’s a quandary to know what’s best?
