"All the sexy couples we like seem to be up in Glasgow
Quite a trek me thinks!
We’re typical southerners! "
We are from up north. And have a child so can't really travel |

Distance is fluid and travel is part of everyday life to greater or lesser degrees. At different times we're all closer to or further away from each other. Why rule someone out and not bother making a connection with them right now, when by happy coincidence you could find yourselves not too far from each other in the coming months or years?
If you did, would you send a random FAF anyway and risk being seen as another creepy 'I'm in your/I see you're in my area tonight' opportunist or would you quietly kick yourself for never having made that friendship and missing out on the chance?
Geography is only a limit if you make it one |

Thats the main reason why people travel! Who wants to go to a club and bump into someone they know |

So, how far is too far though. I'm willing to travel if it's for someone you have a connection with.
London is 2 hours for me, I don't think that's too far. Obviously it is for a half hour meet but with planning make a day of it |

You’re joking! House swap? Most of the nice ones are up north. "
I’ve met some really lovely guys at home but do chat to a few down south that I’d love to meet up with. Like the idea of a house swap haha |

"I travel pretty much everywhere thinking it would be perfect but lots don't meet or chat to visitors to the area.
Even if it's every few weeks through the whole year"
Question.... Do you only contact people when you're in their area (or just before), or do you chat with them all the time? |

"

This
When I travel down to England and realise how relatively close some places are to each other, yet are referred to as “too far” I’m equal parts saddened and amused.
I appreciate that time can be a factor but my time is valuable too. I would much rather travel 10 hours each way for a fantastic meet with someone, than look only 30 minutes away for something mediocre |

I try to chat to people first as I'm in the same areas every few weeks so it's not like "hi,I'm in x tonight fancy a meet"
I was hoping to get on first and then say I'm next your way in a week or so do you fancy a social |

Yes and no!
There are a few local gems but also a couple of people from afar that I’d really love to meet (and will, hopefully, in the new year! )
It’s the right balance for me! |

"Manchester seems to be a great spot so not complaining though will travel for a particular spark."
Quite fond of Manchester myself and find myself over there at least twice a year! I agree though... If a spark is there Geography isn't an issue... Its just a matter of timing |

100% .. just helps if they're more local for more regular meets.. but not essential. |
