Walking down the only road I've ever known!

They'll be expensive as everyone will be wanting rooms.

Of course it depends on your budget...

But I can thoroughly recommend the Malmaison

Depends. Try to pick a weekend when United are away.

I think with Manchester you can widen the search a bit from just city centre too as the trams are great. I've often stayed in Salford and it's so easy to nip into town.

Hefty Hideaway

If you’re looking for a hotel to bring people back to be wary of the budget ones like Premier Inn as they do carry out a headcount of people coming back in of a Saturday night.

The nicer hotels tend not to bat an eyelid.

I recently stayed at the Macdonald Manchester Hotel. I couldn't fault it at all.

Marriott in Worsley is nice and it’s a lovely area. Not in Manchester itself though but not far

For a night in Manchester and the cost of the markets you could probably have a weekend in Krakow. Much much better...

Find the ones we're the stuck in hotels for the night. Rather a few hanging around. You never know. Looking for fun.

I see a lot of them on here asking in Chester on my who is near when in the area.

There’s a couple of hotels right inside the city centre that have a couple of beautiful hotels with gorgeous rooms. May be a little pricy but worth it.

I can’t recall the names of it now but there’s one two streets away from the station and one right inside the city centre after passing all the shops.

..if that helps at all.

Mal Maison near Piccadilly station is very plush Art Deco ... but all Manchester hotels will be pricey in December.

Not the cheapest but if you want views over the city and beyond the Hilton deansgate also known as beetham tower. Full length windows all around great if you want to be naughty against them. Enjoy your visit to Manchester and have fun

If you are on a budget, you'd do well to avoid the city centre

Aparthotels are available too but because of markets & Christmas do's, they will also likely be silly prices

Air bnb?

Hotels around Manchester are always full and expensive in December.

I've stopped at the Lowry a few times. Ultra modern and chic, nobody seems too fussed who's bringing who back.

Avoid the Mitre hotel by the cathedral. It is bug infested.

I stay in Salford Quays/Media City quite often, I travel up and stay over when I’m watching the football.

The date you’ve selected Utd are at home which means prices will be hiked up anyway. When this happens I’ve stayed at the Premier Inn Trafford centre, I’ve also stayed at the Marriott near the airport.

At any of the hotels I’ve stayed in I’ve never had a problem with guests coming back to my room.

I’ll also be staying over that night and not booked my room yet, would be very keen to book the same hotel as you

I'm in Manchester at the end of November. With all this positive feed back the Marriott seems the one to choose.

Thanks to everyone for helping us poor travellers.
