Has this ever happened to you, or have you done it to others?

I think I've just been Irish goodbye by one of my friends (not on here), I must say it makes you feel pretty shit!

Under the Duvet

I didn't know this had a name! Got one non fab mate who always does this. One minute she'll be there, next she's gone.

It used to piss me off but now we just laugh and shrug.

I do this all the time. I just wander off. I never mean it. I'll even do it sober. Didn't know it was an Irish thing though. That's hilarious.

That's not what it means?!?!

It means leaving without saying goodbye. Usually because you're d*unk, hence the irish!

I'll even do it on my own family, I don't give a fuck. Slip out the door half way through a film and go to bed. Say nothing.

And this.

Always had a reputation for doing this on nights out when I'd had enough. 9/10 I'd make it home ok then wake up in the morning to the "where are you" messages followed by the "you've just gone home haven't you" ones

"Why "irish" goodbye"
It's a tradition you walk out without saying it
