Why do people limit thereselves to getting married and having sex with the same person for the rest of their life. No matter how much you fancy that person you’re going to get bored of the same vagina or cock after a while.
It’s like having a tin of Quality Street and just eating the same sweet over and over again, you’re going to get sick of that flavour after a while.
So you would think people would just want access to the whole tin, sometimes it’s good to have the one you like the least (the green one no one likes) just to remind yourself how good the one you got is.
So this begs the question why aren’t there more swingers on the planet and why do most people settle down with one person ? |

That’s why there are so many married men on here cheating on their wives & wives are cheating with someone else.
Then open relationships.
I think people get settled because of society and fear of being lonely.
My theories can be corrected as I’m only 28 |

I hate the purple ones and there aren’t enough orange ones just like dam unicorns
And what’s wrong with the same vagina over and over. You can do all sorts with it nowadays. Bling it, rebuild it. Trim it let it grow wild. The opportunities are endless |

There is people swinging and cheating. They just don't advertised as it's nobodies business.
People sexual life is not something that you discuss at work or with acquaintances. I'm pretty sure op you don't go work on Monday and say : " I had a great time Fucking that girl in the arse, but the girl two nights ago was better at blowjobs"

Apparently humans, chimpanzees and dolphins are the only species that endulge in sex for self pleasure. All other species use sex for procreation only. Heard that nugget from the esteemed David Attenborough |

Many mammals and birds pair for life, this is a sound plan and works for humans also.
Only thing that I find concerning is that our most recent common ancestors are with apes, I think some 30 odd thousand years ago. apes don't pair and have many sexual partners through life... |

Humans and apes had a common ancestor, millions of years ago so "most recent" is slightly misleading.
Apes like quite a lot of family group animals have an alpha male that only normally mates with the females, but is regularly challenged on being the alpha. Or some animal groups have alpha males and females that only mate. |

Yes, society is definitely changing but am not sure how long it will take for ethical non-monogamy/polyamory to be generally accepted - probably not in my lifetime unfortunately |

People swing, so they can have full access to the tin for an evening, they then go back to having just the purple one again, but this time they appreciate how good the purple one is. |

I don't see why it's misleading, I'm talking about the science of why humans might actually pair for life like other animals. The dates are probably wrong as I might have got mixed up but my point is that we may have taken this reproductive strategy ourselves. Plus it can take millions of years for even slight a change in evolution anyway.
Social norms and teachings don't come into what I'm saying either. It's evolutionary theory that's all. |

"Maybe because sex without attachment is just mechanical and unfulfilling emotionally ... and not a stable environment to bring children up in "
I always thought Aldous Huxley had the right idea in Brave New World, children were taken away and "educated" and only allowed back in to society once they could perform a useful role. |

All this evolutionary talk ... we are tribal and always have been, a lot of our societal problems today are because we are not meant to be cut off from our family, friends, neighbours etc or living on our own splitting the kids between 2 independent adults after the customary breakup of the marriage because no-one felt it was worth working at in a progressively 'not my fault' culture.
How many people commenting on here that actually have said they would leave swinging if they met the one on another thread?
People are actually not designed to be on our own ... |

Why are swingers so unhappy with their sex lives that they need to find something new all the time? Is it because their self confidence is so bad they need to feel wanted by a stranger?
Do they need more and more weird fetish acts to get the same 'hit'- like needing more alcohol or drugs because they get sensitised to the same sex acts?
Can swingers ever find peace with themselves? Or are they doomed to eternally trawl internet sites for strangers to fuck so that they can briefly feel a tinge of post sex happiness? |

That's evolution right there, the reason homosapiens became the dominant mammals is because of their care for each other and interaction with other as you put it 'tribes', not because they're particularly the strongest or fastest or most durable.
You may have never seen or spoken to an individual in your life but part of your subconscious wishes that person to do well and be a 'success', when a baby cries for example people think why is this baby crying and want to help it. |

It's a trap, easily fallen into.
All it takes is one evening with Dennis and Barbara, too many sherries and a little bit of light flirting, then, next thing you know, they're down the local swingers club sat in a corner shaking with need, eyeing up the other couples as they salivate profusely.

Some many unanswered questions Doris. But I don’t think it’s natural just to have sex with one person for the rest of your life. |

Not everyone requires multiple choice. Some people choose the Strawberry Creme and spend their whole life enjoying the fondant. Variety is for some but not all. That is exactly why you can now buy a box of just The Purple One |

I'm sure not all swingers are on fab, or even consider themselves as swingers, just people sharing their time with others they connect to.
Just as maybe not all fabbers are considered by some here to be swingers, because they dont fit others definition of what is considered a swinger.
I've never really considered myself as a swinger, yet like many singles here am happy to meet others for mutual pleasure.
Yet if I am ever lucky enough to find and meet, "the girl" I could easily walk away from here, if that was what we both wanted.

I think this is the furrier for humans. (Stay with me here). It’s emotions that get us all upset, the open relationships of youngsters or ‘modern relationships ‘ are a step forward from the ownership of old fashioned values. Being able to feel free may sound like a hippy swinging sixties thing, but maybe they were into something. They looked happy enough amongst themselves. And maybe that’s why more older people try swinging, they’re a little more wiser and comfortable with themselves and their relationships.
So, as youngsters are out going and fearless, it makes sense they can try it, like it and not be judged in this day of age where we are fought to be more open minded.
Thanks for reading my morning waffle. |

We married very young at 16 and 20, began swinging after about 10 years when wife confessed her desire to play with another woman. What husband would turn down the opportunity to assist? After 41 years of marriage, our love life is every bit as thrilling and fulfilling as it was at the start. Would recommend the lifestyle to any settled couple. So much better than sneaking around having affairs! |
