Try installing another browser and seeing if you get the same problem.
Sounds like a BHO (browser helper object) which your AV wont necessarily detect - strictly speaking a bho is malware that is often unwanted but not classed as a virus or Trojan so not removed by some antivirus products.
Also download the free version of MalwareBytes and let it scan your entire PC. It's the mutt's nuts for removing malware (including BHOs). |
