"Charlie George
Incidentally he scored a hat trick against Real Madrid at the Baseball Ground in a European Cup tie in 1975 " When I read about him he went up in my estimation |

"Paul McGrath aka God
When Derby signed him he never turned up for training, but he was a fantastic player "
He was like that at Villa but easily the best defender that I’ve ever seen d*unk or sober. |

"Roy Keane
Used to think he was a hardman, not what I would describe as a great football player though.
Talking about faves. Not greatest."
Duncan Ferguson was the genuine hard man of football ....Keane wouldn't go near him |

"Ray Clemence A great keeper
Ron Greenwood couldn't decide who was better, him or Peter Shilton, so he kept alternating them in Internationals."
Imagine the caps that Shilton would have got if Greenwood had been more decisive.
Clemence won 61 caps, shilton got 125. Allowing for injuries and friendlies etc you could add another 30 caps on to Shilton’s total. |

I have so many but I loved Tony Adams.
I have a portrait of Dennis Bergkamp in my bedroom. He's just in tiny shorts and looks gorgeous. He was flipping awesome. |

"Gareth Barry"
Good shout Hatter
GB went about his work with no fuss or drama and that's the mark of an underated footballer. The same could be said for James Millner and my all time favourite Paul Lake |

Not the greatest player I’ve ever seen for Everton. However amazing heart and commitment for the cause. Made the most of his limited abilities......Tim Cahill |

He got sent off at the Baseball Ground and we all chanted "Where's yer Donkey gone?" Funny!
This was a rendition of another Arsenal defender, Willie Young, who also got shown the red card a few years previously "

"As a player, Shearer was the most single minded, ruthless goalscorer I ever saw.
Peter Withe a close second"
Peter Withe, what a legend. As a Villa fan I was lost for words when I met him. “Oh it must be. And it is! Peter Withe”. 26 May 1982,
