Tom Cruise has lost his role in Jack Reacharound because he's 5 foot 7 and the character is supposed to be 6 foot 5.
In an age where Dr Who is played by a woman, should we be outraged at this example of height privilege? |

Maybe he should legally change his height to 6 foot 5, but keep his biological height at 5 foot 7? |

No. Why should he put a 6'5 actor out of a job? |

Because they already benefit from height privilege. They should check their privilege. |

More likely he lost the role as the film was crap.
I doubt multimillionaire Tom will be crying into his built up shoes.

Hard to say. They said the main problem is that Tom cruise is just not intimidating which i agree with, but that's nothing to do with his height in my opinion. You could replace him with 6 foot 3 Steven seagal and people that don't have access to Google might think he's intimidating. |

I thought the advertising was tragic! I remember the trailer saying "who is Jack reacher?" Well by definition, if I don't know the answer already - then I don't care. The purpose of a trailer is to tell me who he is and make me care. It still made a healthy profit though as Americans will watch anything with fight scenes. |
