Just finished the, so called, 'Karnstein trilogy' of Hammer lesbian vampire films.

The best by far being 'The Vampire Lovers' starring Ingrid Pitt...

Still stands up today and very erotic.

There was a documentary with it featuring various experts... Seems the film was a watershed for Hammer and considered a film classic

"Life of brian

Kinky Boots

Pride

The Wicker Man

Late Night Shopping

Blue Juice

Straw Dogs

Wickerman is a stone cold classic. Still gives me the shivers.

And the horn with all those naked fire dancing hotties (no Bic razors in the local shop for local people on that island )"

The Wicker Man was virtually forgotten until C4 showed it in the 80s (it was the film shown before Don’t Look Back when that film was in cinemas).

in the 80s, the Welsh Language channel (S4C) would show the films C4 had shown about a week later. Very handy when you’re 14 and just seen the Wicker Man (and the house didn’t have a video recorder)!

I always remember Jonathan Ross introducing Britt Ekland at the Comedy Awards and saying “before you present the award, I just want to thank you for helping me to get through those difficult teenage years”

Rogue One

Well, it had a British Director, and most of it was shot here.

Come to think of it, all of the Star Wars films were largely shot in the UK
