Well that’s a pretty damn impressive write up in today’s Sun .
The couple who wrote on the forum about a trip to Benidorm must be well pleased with the extra publicity , as must the site which got a couple of mentions too .
It’s a good half a page this time , and nothing particularly negative , apart from the fact that the couples username is mentioned a few times , and where they are from .
That’s the risk when you post on an open forum like this I guess . |

"I don't read the scum. What's the story?
You don't read the scum but you want to know the story! "
Is there something wrong in wanting to know what the story is? I don't read The Sun, and I'd like to know more. |

I read the report... what a load of ill informed tosh ...benidorm is hardly an unspoiled Mediterranean fishing village... there's plenty of room for everyone... from trashy bars... through to swingers at a purpose built club up to high church festivals...the swingers wouldn't be interested anyway... she's a virgin |

And this is in a paper that jumps on the bandwagon for some of the biggest events in the UK in the last 20 years or so but still talks complete bollocks which have proven in court but people still read it which to this day and forever will amaze me. |

"Who's the mole .. where's George smiley when you need him... anyone on here called esterheze"
See this is what I don’t get , but never get an explanation . There’s no need for a mole because all this on the forum can be read by anyone on the internet , so it’s hardly necessary to infiltrate anything when it’s all there for all to see .
Why is this ?
Why can’t the forums be private and only accessible to members of fab ?
It’s a simple question yet I have no idea what the answer is ..... |

I agree that more should be done to make the forums private or at the very least the whole username of posters to be obscured (currently only the first letter of the name gets changed to a * and the avatar is blurred) - however making them private wouldn't necessarily stop them being accessed by reporters who would only need to set up a profile to view them and let's face it there's no way to stop that happening. |

The reporters may do that , but at least the other six billion people out there couldn’t read our posts and guess who we are could they ?
I still await a reason as to why the forum is open for anyone to see . |

Really? You don't think a journalist even one from that ragtop wouldn't have the ability to put a profile up and look at the forums?
I think you will find there are a dozen or more profiles up linked to journalists on here so hiding the forums would make no difference at all. |
