100 years ago, many died during a long and devastating war the likes of which had not been seen before, yet sadly the world would see again.
In the 100 years that followed more men, women, children and animals have also been taken from their loved ones in or around war and conflict.
Teach your children to hold their silence during the allocated moments to remember.
Teach them also to think for themselves and rally against violence.
Teach them to be strong and brave but not hasty to anger.
Calmness and compassion yields more results than shouting and hitting.
Most of all though, teach them life is precious, theirs, yours and everyone else's, friend or foe, brother or sister, strangers and known alike. |
