There is no one size fits all when it comes to starting a chat.
If you're messaging someone then read their profile and tailor your message to them, maybe tell them a bit about yourself or something that you liked about their profile.
The forums are a good place to get to know people, just post on threads that interest you and before long you'll feel part of it. |

I understand what your saying but its different when I get to a screen, I go blank. Seem to be better face to face
