Been thinking whether I should put a face pic up or not. I admire those of you who do but lately I’ve been wondering what’s to lose? Obviously I’m worried I’ll be recognised by someone, I’ve seen two people I know so blocked them. But if someone I know sees me they’re hardly going to shout about it they’re on here too

Personally, I think anyone who puts a face pic on public pictures leaves themselves open to problems. Especially if they don't block the profile from search engines.
There are lots of intolerent people out there who are very capable of getting hold of something like that then spreading round a very distored version of what it's all about. |

 I've put mine on, taken off, put in friends only, now I have some that you can kinda make out it's me. Only put up what you feel comfortable with my friend |

There was a thread recently where more than one person suggested sending a link to a woman's profile anonymously to her husband. People in glass houses do throw stones. |

Ha hey I don't show but people in my life know I'm here I have nothing to hide in that regard and I share my all with people I'm interested in, I made that comment in regard to other comments made in your case Op the bi bit maybe for others who you know may or not be a problem but the fact you're on a website looking for dates or whatever you call them, is that such a bad thing, I don't think you think it is otherwise you wouldn’t have started thread, I don't know your circumstances but certainly people know mine and I ask here online as I act in life, so why would I be ashamed of that, people hide their face for many reasons and some because they have partners who don't know they are here, some because they are teachers or doctors, some because the stigma attached to being a sexual predator is too much to reveal. I sense Op you feel quite comfortable with it so I personally wouldn’t worry about it but that's your choice not ours, you're just asking for advice, hope this helps |

I have mine here I have nothing to hide and not worried if someone sees me here after all anyone on here are as naughty as me I expect so would be discreet I’d hope . Iv been recognised a few times but the guys have been cool about it and not made a big fuss |

I really don't understand why people are so concerned about having their face picture recognised.
Surely if anyone were to recognise you and say something, they would be exposing themselves as users of the site.
Just make sure you go into the privacy settings and make sure that your pictures can not be viewed from search engines or anonymously and you'll be fine. |

I’d agree with this. I’m also starting to wonder if I’m missing something here.
Surely, so long as your pics are hidden from search engines, unavailable for non members to browse, real name isn’t on your profile etc. then nobody googling your name, for example, is going to be able to find your pics.
The only way they could know you were on here is if they are on here themselves?
Also, nobody seeing the pics on here is going to be able to use them to find your identity (as long as you don’t use the same images on other online media).
Unless I’m missing something? Could anyone tech savvy (I’m not!) please confirm?

People assume that "If they see you on here, then they are also on for the same thing, they won't cause you embarassment"
This, sadly is not true. Someone I know, had heard about this site, and told me how he had set up a skeleton profile , just to nose around, and had found several people we both mutually knew. Of course I kept quiet about being a member myself, he proceeded to tell me all the details of these people, even as far as a screenshot on his phone.
I was very glad my profile is fairly untraceable, but it certainly taught me that not everyone is on here for swinging; he has this hidden profile, just for snooping on people. |

Ive got face pics, but only set to friends only. I don't think i could go full out public and thank god peopke dont recognise me by my asssssss!
