Just curious though... I know lots of Forumites have met me at Socials and know what I'm like in person...
But for those who haven't... How do I come across?
All opinions, good, bad or indifferent are welcome. No offense will be taken. I've asked the question and accept that the answers may not all be favourable  |

I've seen the some of the input you have on the forums and it generally seems well thought out and intelligent.

I think you come across as I genuinely lovely lady, I'm still kicking myself that we didn't get to chat at the last Manchester social tbh.
Brave of you to post this, I've thought about it but am too scared  I can't imagine anyone will say anything negative about you. Someone is bound to comment that this is a LAM post though. I'll put a fiver on it in fact! X |

My perception of you has changed a lot. At first I thought you were another dreary flirtaholic with nothing particulaly interesting to say but the past few months I've seen your wit and your backbone and I like it. I've also realised you're genuinely (well in so far as on the forum) a "nice" person who is happy most of the time which is lovely. |

We'll address that omission next time I'm sure! The Socials are great fun, but it's so hard to find time to chat to everyone you want to xx

That's interesting! Have I changed or just your opinion do you think? I was aware that you found me insubstantial.... But that's an assumption I think we all make about newcomers to the Forums at first. Takes time for depths to be delved. I found you intimidating... but came to recognise that you're actually a tough cookie with a soft gooey centre |

Nah, I don't make that assumption about all newcomers but I do know that I can be wrong in how I first think about people (so yep, sorry Op!). To some extent, you've changed - yes your voice has become clearer and more multi faceted which is great. I also think that you're a lot more comfortable discussing a wealth of topics and that helps to give a more well rounded view of you. |

Where the heck do I start? At the very beginning, which is a very good place apparently
From the moment you first hopped across the Irish Sea and partook of the forums, you were someone I immediately warmed to as being friendly, inclusive, warm, wise and other superlatives - not in any superficial way, and not for any nefarious reasons either. It's that old thing of sometimes you just "click" with people, and I'd most definitely say we clicked - again not in any nefarious way. Since then we've chatted on and off, not that often, but when we do we pick up where we left off, and even met once, and nothing has changed my opinion of you - you've been great counsel at times (sometimes without even knowing it), always got good things to say about people and rarely show that you're down, even when you are.
All in all you're a good egg and a great Fab friend and if people want to  at all that, then let them |

I don’t want to sound all sychophantic or white knighty, but we’ve been friends for a long time, when I was last here and now again that I’ve rejoined and I really value our friendship and the chats that we have.
You’re brave to ask in a public forum so I’ll answer in a public forum but keep it generally high level (can elaborate via PM if necessary!)
I’ve always found you to be honest and candid and you say as you see, I think!
You tolerate my absolute bobbins although do give me food envy when you tell me what you’re cooking for tea!
You come across as a decent, likeable and down to earth, I know we’d get on very well in person! And I want to come visit as it sounds like you live in an idyllic location!
I enjoy our chats very much  |

Feedback often says as much about the giver as the receiver. My voice sounds awful to me when I hear it on a recording so I know that feeling. Anyway I can imagine whatever voice I like for people I haven’t met so you’ll still have a soft lilt in my head. In fact for some people I have met it don’t like what they say, I also imagine a different voice so they make me laugh rather than irritate me |
