Okay...so this was on the Daily Mail, which as all we grown ups know...is a load of rubbish at the best of times.
But there was an article today on a sixtynine year old man, who identifies as a fourtyfive year old. He has begun legal action to change his age, so he can attract more women on tinder.

Why can't people just get on with their lives and stop trying to make different things fit in different places?
You're born at a time, as a male or a female, you do your best, you live your life and you die. Why make it more complex?

I am not sure those who gave the ultimate sacrifice did it so people could winge about what sex they are, what age they are or what religious bias they procrastinate over.

Saw this story. He’s does not look 45 granted he does not look bad for his age though.
Some chancer on here pulled that stunt not so long ago because his doctor told him he had a younger body. He was laughed at like the sausage he was.

Id rather look younger for my actual age then change it and look far to old for my pretend younger age lol

They get to live a life of gender martyrdom that somehow gives their empty life purpose, purpose defined by how contrarian and how brave they are to open themselves up to attack and discrimination, and relying on their self inflicted gender issues as a sticking plaster for their own mental health struggles or low self esteem.
I've personally had experience of this sort with my most recent ex, who decided to out herself as trans after we broke up because she got caught by me arranging to cheat with another guy behind my back for the second time. With people like this as LGBT people or allies, who still needs transphobic people as enemies?
You could very well be still a born male or female and yet be unabashedly in touch with your other masculine or feminine opposite side of your sexuality and gender. Wanting to out oneself as trans or go through legal and medical gender reassignment away from your born gender shouldn't be something that is as flippant as how many in society perceive it to be, or want it to be with the ongoing effort to loosen the gender recognition act. |

Back to your topic though, aren't we always told that we're as old as we let ourselves feel to be? That age is just a number? And like what so many people said on here already, plenty of people pass off as ages that aren't theirs anyway. Who cares about legal age in most daily life? |

Also in the news this week, a white actor of Irish heritage, legally changed his name to an African name and 'identifies' as born-again African. He was recently awarded a place on a public funded Arts Council scheme for Black and Ethnic Minority actors even though the awarding body knew he was in fact white. They said they had to consider "the law in relation to race and ethnicity" and equality. This seems like a precedent being set, what will people want to 'identify' as next? If you can choose your gender, ethnicity and possibly soon age, will we see people identifying as children asking to go back to school? People 'identifying' as animals? Or aliens?? Will be interesting to see how this man's court case goes regarding his age. |

Why is it bashing another gender to apply for the same right?
Maybe they feel genuinely aggrieved that someone else has the right to do something, but he can't as a male?
I'll confess I know nothing of the story of the age aspect story with the trans community, but it doesn't make him automatically transphobic, notwithstanding that he may, of course, be just that. |

See my earlier comment, that time is here! White men 'identifying' as African...
I don't believe it's necessarily an "anti" trans thing though. Maybe this guy just thinks if trans people can identify as the 'person' they feel they are, then why can't he?
If someone who is biologically clearly one sex can identify as another sex based on how they 'feel', then why can't an older man identify as a younger man if that's how he 'feels?' And I think the law will have to support that if things go on as they are. The floodgates have been opened |
