Last night I listen to a chat on R5 all about pensions and when people should think about setting up a private one and how much they would need ( % of there wage minus works contribution ) and was astonished at the results .
Now it seems to be the younger you start it the less % you have to put by for later in life ,
so now knowing that would you be trying to encourage your children to take one plus if you had known when you first started a job would you have done or just waited until later in life .

All my kids have got pensions which started a few years ago . I used endowments from a very young age to provide for me , and they did very well . |

I’ve had a pension since I started working at 17. Pension scheme at my previous job was absolutely awful and was brand new when I started, but who I’m with now is absolutely brilliant and offers one of the best possible pension schemes |

I have a good pension started it the day I started work also invest in property so I have something to fall back on and when my children are old enough they have a house already so they don't have to worry about the stress of trying to get on the property ladder but I think when the time comes for them to start work I will be giving them advice on starting a pension as you say the younger you start the better pension you will have |

"Gordon Brown ruined every private pension by removing the tax free status of said funds Another way politicians are ruining your life."
The fact that he knew it would fuck everyone over was the most galling part of it . A stark warning for anyone thinking about putting Labour in power again . |
