Songs do that to me on a regular basis.

Sometimes it's amazing, and sometimes heartbreaking

Blood on the Tracks is a good album. And Highway 61 Revisited is fantastic.

Not a fan of the early stuff though. He's a wonderful song writer but really I tend to like cover versions better : )

Always loved Dylans lyrics, he verges on being a poet.... but he is definitely not a singer. I love to listen to his work sung by others:

Joan Baez

Nancy Griffiths

Eliza Gilkyson

Adele

I was introduced to Dylan at a young age thanks to my older brother. I’m a selective Dylan fan though. He has some amazing songs. Blood on the tracks is a great album.

Listen to Romance in Durango. Emmy Lou Harris on backing vocals. Changing of the guard.

Don’t listen to the original of ‘Make you feel my love’ it’s awful. Adele does it brilliantly.

It took me three quarters of my life to understand/ get what all the fuss was over Bob Dylan, but when I finally did, there was no going back.

I think he sounds like a hoover. Always seem to like his songs when I've heard someone else cover them though. Edie Brickell and A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall is a perfect example.

For a long time I felt the same way -especially when he combined that with an out of key guitar but then oneday I started listening to the Hurricane and it just suddenly clicked for me -just totally blew me away.

'Prefer Neil Young' is a valid answer for a lot of things.

Hitchin

We saw him last year at the London Palladium - first time seeing him live and it was awesome.

When they got to the bridge of Tangled... just sent shivers everywhere!

Tom Waits is my musical hero - another marmite artiste.
