Women, I've been having my hair foiled and balayage since December last year, I don't want to think about the fact I've spent over 600 quid getting my hair this colour, it's white blonde on the ends with blonde foils and baby highlights all over but a light brown in between. But my skin tone is quite olive and tanned and I want to go back dark, but then I think of all the money spent, I'm thinking just have an all over colour but a very light brown, something I've always wanted but never been able to until I've had all this bleach, help me justify the wasted money, just think that I've always wanted light brown hair instead of my natural almost jet black hair, now cos it's been lightened so much I can have the light brown hair so it's not wasted money right?? |

It's not wasted money. You spent the money then to look how you wanted and I'm sure it looked lovely.niw you want something different.
Do you not buy new clothes because of all the money you don't on your old ones? |

I dont spend nearly as much as you OP but i did spend a fair wedge having my hair dyed a very dark purple over a number of months only to realise i didn't like ..
So now its going towards bright purple which suits me a lot better...
If you want to change it, go for it.. |

Just change it. It's not a waste if it makes you feel good and it wouldn't take much to take it back to the blonde again if you wanted to change it in the future. I think it's nice to go darker in the winter anyway. I tend to go a darker blonde in the winter and a bright blonde in the summer to match my wardrobe |

I'm doing it, just had email confirmation of my appointment accepted which I made online at 3:22am! I don't even remember doing that, must have been dreaming about it and woke up and booked the appointment on my phone!
I'll do the all over light brown and then in the summer IF i want to go lighter again it won't be as long a process of stripping years and years of dark brown box dyes that I'd been using to cover the grey. Yes that is what I'll do. |

"Does it really cost £600?
"
It's probably more if I'm honest. Its ranged from £85 when they've had offers on to £107 a time, £15 of that is olaplex treatment and then you have the cut and full head of foils.
That's without all the care that goes into trying to keep it soft and not crispy, all the redken shampoo and conditioners and cat protein sprays and shit. |
