"Tbh the only thing I could say is - don’t live in a city! In stark contrast to the op’s post I live in a small town with one of the lowest crime rates in the country. Last week I crashed my car. No one was injured thankfully - but 3 police cars turned up - 2 stayed until both cars were towed away etc and - as I was shaken and tearful - 2 police men came round to the house that evening to see if I was ok! It’s not the most exciting place on earth but my teenagers are out watching the fireworks with friends and I know they’ll be home safe by 9.30pm! Those knifing statistics make incredibly sad reading op! The original OP was trying to say change tact and let's get bloody tough with a hard aggressive zero tolerance approach with solid backing from the general public to get the job done and start cleaning up the mess that has been allowed to perpetuate for years because no-one has had the balls to call out the problems and deal robustly. " Funnily enough the most brazen and open drug use I’ve ever seen was in Thailand at a full moon party - admittedly mainly idiot westerners doing it (and no I wasn’t one of them) - but it seems a blind eye is turned. The way Glasgow tackled a similar problem was to get really tough on the people carrying now, but also get into the schools and change the mindset of the next generation, that has to be done too.
