... to make connections on here, when so many block/filter etc.
For site that’s about physical contact, it does a good way of giving you the tools to put a stop to it.
It would be a great feature to have people’s usernames in red when they block you, save me wanting to interact with them at all.

Is it more the type of people you want to chat with as opposed to the ones that do? |

But instead you get to make better connections with people who could actually be or are more likely to interested in you. So in a sense it's making it easier - cutting out the crap and disappointment when the other decides you're just not that compatible. |

Simply when you go to message someone over a post, and you get ‘they block All of anyone contacting them’.
I know, I know you can block who you want. But it frustrates when you had something valid to say to them. I wonder if they’re another way to save my time as much as them stopping their mailbox filling up is saving their time. You know? |

Good advice.
Oh, and it was a guy I was trying to message. About loving the earth you live on, .... but you know, good advice. |

Its as frustrating the other way round.
We are happy to chat and meet guys equally as we are couples and women.
However when we open messages to guys, the minority pop up and spoil it, we get an inbox full of "your birds hot""free now?""faf""meet alone?""didn't you like my last message?""I know you""did I see you at xyz?" and it goes on and on and thats without the ones that get abusive, or start hanging round the supermarket they saw you at to see you again!
We know they are in the minority, but they shout the loudest and its resounding.
Its rare as rocking horse shit I'll message a guy I like the look of first, which is limiting in itself but we're further limited by keeping guys blocked from messaging to filter out the spam messages.
Over the years we've had some really interesting chats with a variety of people from all walks of life, and on balance our block list is enormous.
I do open ours to guys occasionally in the hope the tide has changed and were influxed with genuine, down to earth messages from guys that can hold conversation.

That’s a thing with all forums/thread/posts, it’s the negative that stands out more than anything.
But this (confusing and not very well thought out thread) was more about my instant frustration when trying to actually have a sensible conversation on here.
But I certainly understand why lots feel the need to filter or block, and I’m sure without it, some would not hang around on the site for long. |

All in all we've had mostly positive experiences, we try to minimise the chance of the negative experiences with filtering - which does affect our whole experience as we would happily chat and meet with men as we have in the past.
Can understand your frustration, we're often caught having sensible conversation, even non swinging related! Shock!! and some as a result of forum posts.
