When I was younger I wanted to be an architect, I love and still love buildings and art.
I somehow ended up as an engineer and later manager.
But still would have loved to do the architecture thing!!!
What did you want to aspire to be? |

I wanted to be a vet as I love animals so much then realised I didn’t have the heart for it, I couldn’t have put a healthy animal to sleep.
I now work on the voluntary sector and love it. |

I wanted to be a marine biologist..
In hindsight, actually going to university and studying marine biology would have been far more useful for career progression then joining the forces and disposing of munitions in shit holes and war zones around the world. |

It changed quite often... There were many things I wanted to be at different times. Some I eventually became, some I simply didn't have the talent for.
I asked my (almost) 5 year old niece this question recently... She said mermaid |

I wanted to be a professional sleeper, I honestly thought I was really good at it and thought a bed company would have a job for me when I left school.
Sadly insomnia killed all my careers hopes so the only vehicle for my disappointment and bitterness was the civil service. I fit in here |

I wanted to be a riding instructor. I did some of the work towards it then circumstances pushed me out of study and into a job that paid immediately. I run a small livery yard though and have a few horses so it’s close enough for me! |

"Photographer. I did it for a while but the income was unreliable so I had to make the decision to change career.
Luckily I still get to do it for fun. "

When I was very little I always wanted to be a nun. When I got a bit older things changed slightly, I then wanted to be a Buddhist nun at the Shaolin Monastery. Needless to say I didn’t become either.
