You know what, I've left about four times in the past 6 years ago and just dissapeared, but this time I feel different.
No whinging or bitching, just thankyou for the experience and I'm glad to have had a laugh and fun times. |

but i would privately message all the friends ive made and people ive met so they would know the reason why.
and i would provide them with a way of staying in contact if they wished to do so. |

I've gone quietly every time I have left..
9 times out of 10 everyone returns at some point anyway, and even have a new profile waiting in the wings just so they can read all the comments posted  |

Yes that's a valid point. There's a friend on here who's hidden and not been on for a month or two, so I can't go unlos and rely on them getting a number.

This is what I honestly don't understand. If you're a bit fed up and unsure if you'd like to leave, why not just hide the profile and remain inactive? Seems a waste leaving, losing your veris and having to start the process all over again! |

Make sure they've been online and read the mail before you delete your profile. Admin now deletes all mail from UNLOS. So if you go UNLOS before they've seen your message they won't get it. |

We’ve left three times and every time we’ve just gone . No goodbyes , no last post .
As you all know , the forum is open to all to see . So I’m sure plenty who leave do so with a leaving thread so they can see who comments after they’ve left . I so can’t see the point of that at all . If you give enough of a shit to care after you’ve gone , then why check back to see who cares that you’ve left ? If it really matters that much , don’t go , simple .
I’m pretty sure we will be gone again soon , we haven’t had the desire to meet for six months now . And when we do , we will just quietly disappear and I doubt anyone will really notice , least of all care . I know we won’t |

I think it's nice to know if people care and/ or will miss you. Like being able to go to your own funeral.
Wouldn't it be shit if no-one turned up and just said "nahhhh s/he's only having a funeral because they were an egotistical drama queen."

I’d only leave fab for two reasons!
One is that all the people I give a toss about on Fab have already left the site and I’ve met the man of my dreams and no longer play. In this case I wouldn’t put up a final post - as there would be none I care about left to read it!!
The second is that I’m about to die - and as long as I’ve got at least an hour’s prior warning I solemnly promise to inform you all and say my goodbyes in a tasteful and grammaticallly correct fashion! |

Oh god yeah there was a guy on here years ago. When he left the site the forums were full of the wailing and keening of fab women!
Think he turned out to be a naughty married in the end and left (I think) because he got outed!
