So if I get a day off I like to treat myself with what I consider to be the perfect dinner (lunch for the southerners)

Bacon butty on white buttered breadcakes with brown sauce oh my word I'm in heaven

So that's mine, what's yours?

Just around the corner

I don’t really have a favourite, and like to try new things. I’m typing this (discreetly) from a new Mediterranean veggie restaurant where I’ve just had an amazing meal.

Not what I might have every day, but very nice.

Slatterys in Manchester for afternoon tea. No better chocolate delights in the country.

Roast chicken, sweet potato mash, veg, Yorkshire puddings. I made it last week and can't stop thinking about it!

Tonight I'm having the obligatory bonfire night pie, peas and mint sauce. Yum

Lunch is usually something light like cheese or scrambled eggs on toast with a cup of tea.

Today's lunch was lebkuchen rounds and a cup of tea.

I would like to take a cat loving lady to one of the cat tea rooms.

They are so busy you have to book in advance.

Tea and cake while talking to cats.

Love the idea
