Sean - there are a lot of bi people here but as a single guy, just here for a week, you'll typically come up against issues that other single guys have in the same situation - and it being slow to become established. Not meaning to sound negative, just a realistic perspective and aim for you to keep your positivity.
If it's within Fab, then it's going to be about searching and profile reading as well as having your profile to be as clear about your interests as possible: many people view the profile of message senders, often before reading the message. Outside of fab, clubs have some bi nights, where you could get to know others.
