Thin line between banter and insulting someone to their face with the excuse that "it's banter".
I don't usually do banter with someone unless it's someone I know really well and trust a lot. I don't like dealing with misunderstandings stemming from different banter standards! |

Unfortunately, verbal bullying is so often passed off as banter, banter is when all parties concerned engage in a playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks, just because someone adds a wink or a lol onto a message doesn't make it ok. |

Absolutely! Some people are just downright nasty and then say ‘it’s just my sense of humour’ when they are called out on it. I only banter with people I know well so as not to inadvertently offend or upset someone. |
