There's a fascinating interview that goes over an hour with Tyson Fury and how he beat depression. It's rare to get someone of his status talk so long and openly on the subject, but that's the beauty of podcasts.

Can't wait for his comeback fight after hearing it: https://youtu.be/vNZtibrPo0g

I’m not sure you can beat depression, but there’s ways of dealing with it.

I love the format, you can actually see two people have a proper conversation and not just the typical sound bite culture on mainstream media.

.

I think for a self taught person he's one of the best ever interviewers as he does what most media people can't which is shut up and let them talk, while guiding them along obviously.

Very true. The funny thing is that you could easily listen to the whole thing and have no idea that in a straight up fight, Joe would almost certainly win. Not a boxing match obviously. Because Joe doesn't use interviews to promote himself, doesn't push an agenda, doesn't massage his own ego - just guides an interesting conversation.

He's a man of many talents. But commentary has made him a lot more money than stand up.

Good isn't it that someone the size and power of Tyson fury speaks so openly.

Just shows you that you can be a world champion but also be human with a condition many can relate too.

Yes and I love the language he used to describe it all. He was genuinely communicating his experience in a way that I find rare these days. I felt like I could understand his logic even though I've not been through such an experience.
