"With no public pics, and a 4 word profile.... what's the point?! Wtf do they expect back in reply?
They expect you to do all the work of course This same with some women in the bedroom "
Well we can’t lift the bed up and hoover under there at the same time can we? |

"I quite like a wink, I'll wink back or bob a message over.
I occassionally send the 1st wink "
Don't get me wrong, i don't mind a wink. And i do send them. But i read a wink to say "i like your profile, have a look at mine." . Well, if there's fuck all to look at, what are they expecting as a response?! |

We don't even bother going to the 'winkers' profile, we just delete. End - ex. |

I think you have a point. However, i know guys probably have had enough of writing nice opening messages, only to have them deleted. Then of course they're vilified if they dare to use a copy and pasted message.... |

"I’ve had quite a bit of success from winks. I think they are a great way of expressing interest.
Especially if women send them to men. "
It's different in this regard, I've had a lot of wonderful meets with some amazing women that started with them winking me.
For a woman too a wink is a good ice-breaker and perfectly acceptable way to contact a man as tbf she probably has to spend a minimum of 2-3 hours daily to check through all her between 200 and 500 messages a day on average which must be one hell of a chore...
Whilst I nowadays just let ladies or couples make first contact with me instead unless event planning, for a man interested in a particular profile though sending a wink is just plain lazy really! I've been guilty of sending a few years ago when really pressed for time, but generally spending the time crafting a well thought out message that is tailored to your recipient is far more appropriate as we'd probably get 30 messages at a maximum most days and therefore we don't have to spend hours trawling through them like ladies or couples do? |

The only advantage in the wink system is being able to catch someone's attention. Often I've gone to write a reply/introduction and by the time it's been sent, the people I'm contacting have gone offline..
That said, with the volume of mails that these people must be getting from similar guy's, it's understandable there's not much point in the wink system... |

Same for us, sometimes a wink will lead to messages, its always a good starting point for us."
Yes, well you have a good profile. This isn't an "anti wink" thread... |

Yeah I'd have said if a woman winks it means talk to me, so it's pointless if there's nothing on their profile. I don't send or check winks though so I dunno how everyone else uses them.
I do still fab things while my profile is hidden, just because it's a good picture. Do guys take a fab as a request for a message or just a thumbs up to the pic? |

Not all guys. I just take it as a compliment they liked it to fab it. Coz of what the site can potentially offer some may find it as a "way in" |

From the comments on quite a few threads about fabbing pics, a fair few men have said only fab ladies pics as they are not looking to meet men. To me that implies that they would feel if you fabbed their pic, it’s because you’re interested in more. I’ve also noticed this from messages I’ve received after fabbing men’s pics. I don’t tend to do it now unless I know them |

If you like a picture of a certain person and you fabbed it i can see the "mixed" readings a guy will get. After all isn't what this site is based on. I fab a few guys photos coz i like it (no cock pics) just to compliment them. |

I usually fab ladies pics more than others, followed by couples as I'm attracted to them there's more way in which they can appeal? I've fabbed guys pics before though, if they appeal in other ways to me such as being funny in the thought process behind them?
I don't usually take a fab of my pics as a sign someone wants more though, that would not only be presumptuous but also big-headed of me to think that and I wouldn't want to be either? It may cause me to check their profile out of curiosity though and if I see pics I'll like then I'll certainly Fab them, which has led to several meets in the past, but I'd never assume that it was likely to.
If someone fabs a lot of my pics at once that's usually more of an indicator though. |

Well you’re a level headed intellingent man. Some of the chaps on fab aren’t and take the slightest thing as a green light. Which is why a lot of ladies view profiles in stealth mode too |

Yup. Probably why they just wink.
I wink back.
They then read my profile for the first time.

I quite like winks actually, I’m not here for a soulmate... I don’t need an essay.. and if I’m not interested I don’t need to awkwardly tell someone to politely jog on.. I’ll send wink if something they are looking for doesn’t quite include me, then it’s in there hands. Also if you’ve been having a good laugh with someone and there messages get lost or you end up busy and they move down the list,, a wink is a nice little reminder, conversation restarter. ... I guess that’s just me though |

It’s like that experiment test that starts with the instruction for the person to read all the questions before they start answering, and the final question states put your pen down and don’t complete the test, Clem.
