An odd one really. I had a meet the other night and she told me there was a clone of my profile. I had a look and this guy has pretty much copied and pasted my profile. I'm not overly fussed, not as if mine is particularly interesting! Just find it a little strange. I can't message him to ask about it as he blocks men. So one of my regular friends did and he says I must have stolen his! The plot thickens.  |

It's happened to me before. Sometimes just chunks of profile text but one time the whole thing word for word. Lazy plagiarising feckers!   |

I've had people make profiles using my pictures, even had guys saying they are talking to the "real me" and that I must be fake.
Just report it, admin will sort it. |

Yeah I’ve seen this and have a number of friends and acquaintances from the forums tell me about another forum users profile/pic themes that are similar to mine. I suppose it’s a form of flattery but it’s also sheer cheek and laziness on their part. |

There was someone on here a while back, posted a thread a thread asking for advice, wasn't having much luck.
I was highly amused when I looked at his profile as it was an exact copy, word for word my partners profile!

Copying the idea for pics seems to be fairly common from what I’ve seen, but copying the text from someone else’s profile is ridiculously lazy especially if they both post on the forums so you can tell which one is the original author by their style of writing |

There's absolutely no way anyone could pass that masterpiece off as their own! I do try and keep the Attenborough voice going in my head when reading it but it always reverts back to your accent at some point |

Had a couple contact me last night. You know when the too good to be true alarm bells go off. Got there number anyway. (As I don't get too much attention) started chatting they send some photos. Realised the photos are from a porn site (I have a wealth of experience on that one)

Same thing happened to me with my old profile, but i didnt know until after I had changed it... mine was also stolen by a man which was a bit odd as it was quite feminine..
I did message him. and ask why and he said it looked good and he didn't have time to do one himself..cheeky fecker |

Same thing happened to me more than once so I changed my erudite, witty and engaging profile text to this one. Feel satisafies that the cretins who copy will have neither the social skills or imagination to keep a series of conversations going up to a meet if they can’t even write a basic profile. Bunch of losers. |

I contributed to a profile advice thread once and the OP later came back saying he'd changed his profile based on the advice given and asking what people thought - blow me if swathes of his adjusted profile weren't a direct lift from mine!!
I was actually flattered but did suggest maybe he should write his own to save him being confused with an over the hill 53 year old!!
I think it's inevitable that similar pics are going to crop up though - particularly for guys, there are only so many poses we can pull and can't hide it with different lingerie etc - once you've seen one bum shot with white shorts at half mast you've seen them all |
