Exactly. If they are easily offended then surely they would make sure they only met with fellow vegetarians?

Why should you eating something you enjoy offend her? She makes her food choices, you make yours.

I once too my life long veggie friend to a smoke house where the only veggie option was corn bread and chips...

And they'd run out of corn bread

She wasn't offended. Just demanded vodka lol

Because it's the vegans self-awarded sense of moral superiority, perfectly illustrates in your post, that annoys people.

Can I ask a serious question? Why do vegans feel the need to tell everyone? I don’t tell everyone I’m a carnivore, as if it’s the only thing I’d have in common with another person. What’s next? Forum rooms based on what food we decide to put in our body? Come on people

After well over a thousand meets over the years , I’m happy to say I haven’t got a clue whether any were vegetarian , vegan , pescatarian or anything else .

What would bother me would be the knowing , as that would mean we had broken our golden rule of not wanting to know too much about the people we swing with in the first place .

A rambling disjointed post.

The vegetarian restaurants or dishes that I have tried have all been delicious. So much so that I would consider a vegan or veggie option a first choice based on taste.

Is a vegan or vegetarian diet a ketogenic diet ? Low carb?

I don't get Linda McArtney sausages. A veg sausage is not a sausage. Call it something else. Cynical marketing.

A neighbour who is vegon has a seperate oven for his food. The rest of the family are not allowed to use it. What's that all about ?

I have lost two stone since I changed to vegan and strangely enough I don't miss meat as there are so many good meat substitutes available. I have always been a big pasta/rice/oatmeal fan anyway. I only have to watch my iron levels. But I definitely don't ever force the issue with others - people can eat what they choose to. It's their body. The diet works for me and we are all different.

Very true. I agree. I’ve not lost a lot of weight but feel healthier for the change. Also it’s helped with other health issues I had. Tesco have a great dairy free ice cream range. And Iceland stock a no bull product. The chorizo is good.

With grains and pulses the full spectrum of vitamins , minerals and amino acids are readily available

Many full on meat eaters actually lack nutrients due to their limited choices and cooking methods

"Well done with your weight loss but doesn’t the fact you have lost 2 stone reinforce the fact that being a vegan doesn’t give you enough of what the body needs?

More nonsense

You do realise

Olive oil

Coconut oil

Nuts

Avocados

Are all vegan

With grains and pulses the full spectrum of vitamins , minerals and amino acids are readily available

Many full on meat eaters actually lack nutrients due to their limited choices and cooking methods

"

Actually recent reports show avocados aren’t vegan, don’t blame me blame science

I was thinking how the correct way to put the Toilet roll on would be a hot topic.

I have many friends that are vegan.....

Going out to a restaurant or vacation with them can be painful.... But they’re not the preachy type of vegan...

hiding from cock pics.

I'm vegetarian, not vegan, but I have no issue cooking meat so long as I don't eat it. I eat out quite regularly and never have an issue finding something appetising to eat.

I really don't find it a big deal at all.

Anything thats different is threatening.

Humans have an inherent need to belong. Be part of the group

May I ask if generally ..

As a consumer, which is the cheapest diet to follow ? I don't mean living on boiled rice for days on end. I mean really tasty, balanced veggy or vegon food. And for the meat eaters I am not talking about fillet steak every night.

Thank you..
