The right place

I’ve just had a fun evening in a hotel. Some photos were taken and some props were used, including a pumpkin and some novelty underwear, among other things.

I’m wondering what the cleaners will make of what got left in the bin.

What’s the strangest things you have left in a hotel room.

I've never left anything of note in a hotel but i did used to be a housekeeper at some rather posh hotels where very strange things were left behind..

One thing was a prosthetic leg

I’m tempted to say pull the other one! But I’ll resist.

I guess they must have had a spare one. It’s not the sort of thing you’d leave if it was your only one.

There's getting getting legless and there's being legless

your imagination

Nothing... Really... Its amazing how you can squeeze both a double and single bed, linens, towels, kettle, television and shower gel dispenser into an overnight bag

Ehhhmmm... Once left a completely ruined white duvet after a punnet of strawberries fell victim to some energetic sexual acrobatics. I stripped the bed before we left so the poor housekeeper wouldn't think she'd stumbled into a crime scene

I was a chambermaid when I was 17 and got invited to join two gorgeous bi guys in fun instead of cleaning their room.

Damn being young and naive. Biggest regret of my life!

Btw people leave all sorts of filthy shit (literally) behind....don't worry about it, just tip well!

Left a waterproof sheet and about 10 empty bottles of baby oil once tried to bag it all up as innocently as possible but it was really bloody slippery!

East Sussex

My grandmother was a publican in a dockyard establishment. Not the classiest of joints as you might imagine.

They had rooms but of course no en suite. The woman who cleaned came down swearing one morning because a man had left a large, malodorous deposit in the chamber pot. She was mollified when my grandmother handed over the half crown tip he'd left for the "inconvenience"

It's part of the risk when riding through countries where tourists are rare and you can't speak the language.

Police were very nice in the end.

Me and my ex girlfriend realised we left our passports in the room safe one day after checking out - as did we a bag of sex toys tucked into the bedside unit. All of which were handed in at reception for us to collect.

I think the receptionist was more embarrassed when she asked the contents of the bag and I proceeded to tell her maybe she should have just asked the bag colour haha
