I’m off to play nursey and take a food parcel to a poorly chap. On the verge of death with his man flu. He’s too poorly to type a list of what I should take apparently

I’ve already got chocolate, lemsip, soup and honey from the cupboards. What should I pop on the shopping list?

Why chocolate lol? My ex always used to bring me chocolate when I was ill and it was the last thing I wanted!! Usually if you are poorly with a virus you want light food - chicken soup, eggs, fish, fruit.

Oh and Manflu Shots, available in lots of supermarkets - they contain lemon, vit c, echinacea and zinc and I find them really good!

My speech will be muffled from behind my face mask though. I don’t want to stay any longer than I have to. I only offered to take a food parcel as a nice gesture not believing for a second he’d say yes!

I’m going for a half baguette to help eat his soup in case a spoon is too heavy, tomato soup, Lemsip, Honey, Fanta, Man size tissues, Berocca, Chupa Chups, a pack of Kinder bars, easy peel oranges, Viz, biscuits, ready made pierogi and 4 Carling. Oh and a cuddly woman as I don’t have time to grab a cuddly toy.
