"Mine is keeping up appearances, with hyacinth, it is a classic one, riccchhhhhard "

When it was first broadcast, I could NOT understand why people found it funny.

Now I've seen the reruns, I piss myself laughing.

Everyone knows a Hyacynth Bucket...

The other one that I NEVER got when I was living in Scotland was Rab C Nesbitt. It was SO unfunny. Now I'm in England and if it pops on the telly, I just piss my pants…

The other sitcom that makes me sit in front of the telly and cry is One Foot in The Grave. I was one of those people who did mourn a bit when they killed off the character.

The most recent one that makes me laugh is the Big Bang Theory. I never knew nerds could be so funny!

Other unfunny one is Friends. WTF is that?

I loved the office. Hated the US version. Maybe it's just a difference in humour between us and the Americans

Fawlty Towers.

Still cracks me up.

My last car was Sybil. My current one is called Basil.

Sybil blew up on me, the temptation to take a branch to her was impossible to resist!

I couldn't deal with the Office.

I couldn't watch it knowing that the next morning I meet the same arseholes in the flesh.

It didn't hit close to the bone. It hit the bone. Too depressing to be funny.

It never gets a mention anywhere but it was two series of pure comedy perfection! The mix of laugh out loud moments along with just the right amount of pathos. That's the best comedy for me. Everybody needs to see this show!

Yeah I decided not to go as it just wouldn't be the same. I only watched it about 3 years ago so part of the charm for me was the fact it was a wee bit old and nostalgic.

I think you’re right. I wouldn’t want the characters to have moved on as I don’t think it would be as funny and poignant. Plus if not all the characters were included it would loose something I reckon.

Ooh I loved that one too!

Female news paper mutters something to male presenter with sparse hair ...

Male presenter: Who are you talking to?

Female presenter: The hamster.

Male presenter looks around...

Male presenter: Which hamster?

Female presenter: The hamster. The hamster on your head...
