Depends on how much you class as valuable? A few years ago I used to sell books on e bay and amazon mainly children’s books and I found a hardback first edition complete with dust jacket by an author I knew who was very collectible at the time for 10p. I checked amazon first there were four people willing to pay 50 pounds so listed it on e bay with that reserve and sold it for 180 pounds!

I don't, but my sister makes a pretty good secondary living out of car boots and re-selling charity shop buys

It won't make her rich but, as an example, she's paid for a 10 night break to Greece for her & her hubby out of what she has made so far this year

A piece of troika for 50p that I sold for £190 on fleabay and a very nice Art Deco brooch, turned out to be rose gold set with diamonds and rubies, think it cost £1.00.

by the big field

Not from boot sales, but i've rescued some things left behind by other companies at work and various obsolete equipment destined for the skip.

By the time i've shifted the current batch, i'd estimate i've made upwards of £4k from other peoples carelessness, lack of knowledge or cant be arsedness

Aged about 15 I bought some "art films" on VHS from a car boot. Teenage me thought they were priceless...
