I dress however the hell I want... Day to day, I quite often dress like an over excited 3 year old tbh... But if I feel like wearing a mini skirt on a night out it will take more than my age or others opinions on me, to not!

You do OP. The mutton comment is incredibly outdated.

It depends where I'm going but I'd say I dress in a smart/casual way. I have way more clothes than is sensible because I buy myself loads and Mr N buys me loads more.

I'm pretty conservative actually, usually midlength dress and not too booby. Could probably do with mixing it up with some shorter things. Love your jumpsuit, you look fab as you are

Wear whatever makes you feel good and you can’t go far wrong.

I live in dresses. Nothing I like more than dressing up, doing my hair and makeup then stepping out knowing I look good. It makes the workday a lot more fun swishing about in a big dress.

Wear what you like and what works you OP..

At 53 i still wear skinny jeans and mini skirts and no one bats an eyelid

your imagination

I get that. I'm the same age and feel that I've outgrown miniskirts, etc. I love my dresses though and still like putting on a sexy fitted dress and heels to go out... My hemlines are just a little longer than they used to be (just above or below the knee is my comfort zone... I'm not tall enough to carry off floor-length). Now that winter is here it means I also get to wear stockings and suspenders underneath and nobody knows... Unless I want them to

I dress for me but luckily the short dress/mini skirt is not my style anyway. I’m 47 but still shop in topshop etc.

OP I think you personally look great and have the figure to wear what you like.

A good friend of mine is almost 49 and she dresses in 50s still mid length skirts with a more modern top. She always looks fantastic

do what you feel.

sometimes its a leather jacket others its a simple tshirt and jeans.

i wear shirt and tie sometimes as well with a nice watch.

all depends on what im doing, where im going.but age never plays a part in it.

im not ready for a flat cap, pipe and patches on elbows yet

It doesnt matter what other people think you should wear what you like. You will always get someone who criticise you doesnt mean they are right though.

My favourite on other women is a knee length skin tight pencil skirt. It gives you a bum wiggle as you walk

Why does a mini skirt make you feel like mutton luv

I still wear them and I’m probably a lot older than you

If you feel comfortable in what you wear then what does it matter what other people think

For me I have distinct styles for different times

Work: trousers shirt and jumper or jacket; only a tie if meeting a client

Football but not going; retro adidas jacket jeans, bucket hat, and adidas trainers

Football going, football top and hoody and bucket hat

Swinging meet - jacket, shirt, jeans and shoes

Clubbing - long sleeve polo shirt, jeans and shoes

Gym - tracksuit and hoody

I'm 48, and all my dresses & skirts are minis!

Been a lifelong joke though.

I don't have a choice, most things I wear would be knee length on everyone else

Although there’s a time and place for certain outfits, go right ahead and dress to please yourself OP

I detest the saying ‘mutton dressed’ and I’ll still be wearing my mini skirts and dresses for many more years x

Dress however you feel comfortable dressing. Although when walking through town I do wish people would follow the rule of dress for the body you have, not the body you want

if it feels good, it's right for you.

I'm drawing the line at spray-on style jeans.
