Least we forget at Christmas time xx

Its Christmas time and folks are happy.
Prezzie time, some good some crappy.
Turkey tatties, spouts and holly.
Tis the season to be jolly.
But spare a thought or two for them.
That live on streets or cardboard den.
That wander though the wet cold night.
Or hide in doorways out of sight.
Surviving though the long dark night.
The old, the lonely and the sick.
Gas bill or food?, just take your pick.
So yes enjoy your Christmas cheer.
And the party at new year.
But don't forget the ones we do.
A happy new year from me to you.

Yes, amongst all the fun and games, there are those out there for whom it's a sad time as they remember absent friends and loved ones.
I've a ladyfriend who always goes a bit quiet and withdrawn during the early part of December, but perks up again by Christmas itself. |

did see the step father of our granddaughter in a different light this week, he is organising Christmas lunch for up to 400 homeless and giving up his own Christmas Eve and Christmas day for it. Well done him |
