Big Group Socials around the UK
Jump to: Newest in thread
We've been to several. A lot depends on the hosts and also how prepared you are individually to put yourself forward.
Overall our experience has been good.
Socials are a great way to network, meet people in the flesh and just get yourself out there. |

I enjoy them very much. It's good to talk face to face with people you have been interacting with from the forums (or drooling over ).
There's some fun games too if you're lucky |

"This is some great feedback.....
I imagined a social would be 100 single guys fighting for the attention of 10 couples or females...."
Not at all..the ones i have attended have been a good mix of all 3 but usually more women than men |

Quite the opposite actually - I regularly attend the Sussex Socials and generally the organisers have about 70 men saying they want to come, and around 10 show up. There's a great group of women and couples who regularly attend and always new faces, but rarely get more than a handful of new single guys.
If guys are too terrified to walk into a pub and have a drink with fully clothed sociable people, how the fuck do these guys think they are going to fuck a stranger or turn up to a gangbang?! |

Socials are great! For me it beats playing message roulette on the site trying my luck messaging people on here whom I'm interested in and fit their requirements (and it's not even a surefire thing they'd reciprocate either). Socials are pretty much the only way people like myself can break the negative baggage us single men generally have on the forum, or not have my nationality or race overtly work against me online (since in real life one's personality often shines through much stronger than any other shallow physical attributes).
Personally I've had couples tell me honestly that had they known me only through Fab online and not met me in person at a social i wouldn't even come up on their radar to meet with, much less play together with. So socials are a great way to bring people together and there's very little to no way to be a fake in person than say online.
Looking forward to York social already. It'd be my first one since returning back to the UK in Sep this year. |

"They're good if you like socialising and are maybe a little worried about trying that in a club."
I hate socialising in an actual swinger club. Because in my few visits so far I haven't had a single time where I didn't have that sneaking suspicion at the back of my mind that my very presence there was being jumped on by other men to try and "stud/big themselves up" in comparison to "the Asian guy in the sex club now". Several times I've had Western men just brusquely butting into conversations I've been having at such swinger clubs with couples or single females, overtly showing off how much more manly and well-endowed and masculine and local they were compared to me, to show themselves off in a better light.
At least at a non-play social things are far less aggressive. And I find that when clothes flying off isn't something that's on the menu half an hour after a conversation happens I can hold my own against such boorish behaviour better. And it makes me feel better about myself. |
