I've always seen the internet as a bit of a harmless playground really. I'm not alien to submitting the odd post for a reaction but on the other hand, nothing anybody says really bothers me. I've always seen people who are offended by something that another has posted as been a tad over-sensitive, or just plain longing to be offended.
But I have to say; after trawling through Twitter late last night for accounts and opinions of what went on at Leicester, I'm dismayed at what a bunch of thoughtless, uncaring shits some of us seem to have come.
Not just the cranks making up what they conceive to be jokes about people dying in a ball of flames but the others, those repeating things that they have no idea if they're true or not. It really is a sad state of affairs. |
