"Take this drug it stops you from contracting aids, FACT"
Will only be a fact once the trial results are in.
But shypilis, ghonoreah, clymidia, hep ... what the fuck ever letters etc .. |

Surely I would only be able to verify this ‘fact’ if I was to have unprotected sex with someone who has AIDS? Maybe the drugs won’t be effective on some of us? Maybe other drugs people take will affect the way they react to the drug and it’s effectiveness. Not a risk I’d be willing to take. Maybe take the drug and wear a condom just to keep the odds on your side.

I take prep because I am hiv negative and want to stay that way. I also insist on using condoms. I do not consider prep to be a substitute for safe sex, but an added protective layer.
I am far less of a risk to anyone than your average swinger.

"Actually, it reduces the chances of you catching hiv.
It’s also one of the drugs you may take if you have hiv to prevent it progressing into aids. "
This is what I thought. I'm also under the impression that if you have Hiv and take the medication ever day the chances of passing on the virus is very very slim.
The bigger problem is people with Hiv but don't know it yet. |

The ingredients are similar, but the overall drug is different. Prep is not used to treat HIV. |
