Absolutely tragic. Saw it last night but this morning the news is still no clearer on who was on board. Reports were saying the engine cut out and it just spiralled out of the sky and burst into flames.

There's a memorial garden near that car park, before each match day he leaves a new bottle of whiskey for fans to toast their lost loved ones.

That's the type of thing he does

have gone to uni in leicester i know what the owner means to the city as he has done now just great work for the football club, but also given money to the local hospitals and the local universities for research in different fields

you always fear when someone comes in, but this man has embraced the city,

Still nothing confirmed and like everyone else I hope there's no fatalities.

As mentioned he's one of the nicest football owners in the UK.

Thoughts are with you Fox's fans.

Leicester deserved their successful season, it couldn't of happened to a nicer club. Nobody deserves this, certainly not them.

It goes without saying that it's a devastating time for those connecting to the tragedy but considering what the owner has achieved in the modern game, this is a sad time for football and all those that steadfastly believe that it's not just about the 'big' clubs.

If you have no interest in the sport or your stance is anti-football as it seems, you won't get it.

Somebody died, it's their tragedy, I'm with you on that.

We could both go on all night repeating you "don't get it" but people will latch onto tragic events and in this case it's football fans doing that. It's no different from people lamenting over Bowie or anyone else.

What a repulsive comment to make on a thread about the tragic death of 5 people. Sometimes people on here try just a little too hard to be 'funny' or 'edgy'.

Not every thread needs flippant comments or even any comment at all if you can't make a decent one.

I agree. I must admit I had never heard of the Leicester City owner before as I'm not into football but having heard what fans of many different clubs have said about him, it's clear he had a massive influence at the club and was widely respected.

At times like this it's nice to see the entrenched rivalries of local clubs being set aside to honour and pay tribute to one person.

When Stephen Hawkin died and everyone lamented what a loss to science it was, no one said 'fuck science, a person has died'. To the football fans perhaps this man was their Stephen hawkin.

Spent a long time at the stadium yesterday, very emotional and difficult reading some of the tributes, but also comforting being with the "Leicester family", and feeling the love from the wider football world.

Just heard we play on Saturday, expecting a lot more tears on and off the pitch...
