another light hearted topic....
watched oceans 12 the other night, and couldn't but think just how bad it was... so got me to thinking...
what other sequels should never have been made.... ahem... grease 2!!!  |

White noise 2
The Lost world (jurassic 2)
Now here is something for you. On my mention of reboots. They are going to remake Point break...how ridiculous is that? The movie is only 20 years old and still holds up as a great movie even in todays special effects laden market.Plus could you see anyone playing bhodi better than Patrick Swayze? He WAS Bhodi..when/if they do this it will be a big mistake. |

Agree with you on that. All the Star Wars sequels and prequels. The Magnificent Seven Return. Any of 90's Batman sequels bar Batman Returns. Rambo, First Blood is a great action movie, Rambo is just dreadful |

Most sequels I've watched are fine (Empire Strikes Back, Toy Story 2 and Godfather 2 are, IMO, better than the first films), but for remakes, I don't think you can top the Italian Job for utter crapness. Even the actors apologised! |

Although Superman 3 and 4 and Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were awful. You can always tell a director change. |

If we going back to the 80s Superman original was class but 2, 3 and 4 the quest for peace and what about when they bought it back. And all the remakes now is there nothing original. Saying that I do like the new version of Planet of the apes. |

How about sequeals that top the originals?
1) Incredible Hulk (tops "The Hulk".. ewwwwww!)
2) Rise of the (Planet of The Apes), I reckon tops the (remade) Planet of the Apes with Tim Roth.
I'm however stuck on Clash of the Titans (both versions) - bearing in mind the original was almost 30 years ago (relatively crap cinematography and now-dated stop-motion special effects), it stil is a stand up movie! |

Vastly underrated film IMHO. The set-piece near the start with the plane is cracking stuff |

Don't think its been mentioned but Lost Boys 2, have it on DVD but so far refused to watch it as how could it ever be anywhere near as good as the first. |
