Be honest with them and send the updated version. I’d much rather see someone do that than look at a poor version. Good luck!!

Send the better one with an apt cover letter explaining this faux pas, ASAP and with a straight face demonstrate the ability, that you have of damage limitation, by not getting flustered; as if you were a journalist giving an up to date report, that replaced the earlier one

Employers get CVs all the time, maybe it will work. As a can do attitude is always a good talent to have.

Good luck.

Sometimes these ideas of mine work...

Think of it this way, most companies now use software that seeks key words and such, likelihood is the one that hasn't been adjusted will likely be unread and automatically discarded. And if it is read it shows that you have done your research on the company and adjusted to fit the company needs

Theoretically they would be correct not to employ you as you could have made that school girl error whilst in their employment , if the doozy is as grand as you suggest a simple avoidable fuck up like miss sending an email could cost them millions?

That said I fuck up more than most , mainly because I can afford to and I love taking alternative routes

But in employment ,mis sending an email could be disastrous and as such you should have a robust process in place to avoid such errors xxx

All that said , I make more fuck ups than most , and you genuinely have my deepest sympathies, and that's genuine x

the software seeks the words, mistypes usually mean it's automatically discarded, I wouldn't sweat it the new one will be in the right pile

Yeah, it's a fairly pathetic error, though there would be little risk in the contract concerned....never mind, on onwards and upwards!

No, it could've been a lot worse!! I once sent 1000 clients of mine a reply meant for a girlfriend asking how my lovelife was! I said 'Nothing but a bunch of toyboys, haven't had it in weeks!'

"Did you try and recall email? They may not have opened it?"

It was via a recruitment website......I withdrew the application, but then it would not let me re-apply, so I had to email and confess.

If it's not to be it's not, there'll be something better, it was a bit of a punt anyway.

Actually the pic I sent was taken on a meet haha! But I was looking very demure, don't worry.

Actually I agree, however

Many serious errors occur because we are human where should a line of responsibility and culpability be drawn ?

What is a line between human error and negligence , if for example a human error lead to your personal details being emailed to the world ?

What prevents a human error , luck or diligence?

The right systems.

And definitely not putting post-menopausal creatives in charge of managing the sensitive data!
