How long do these bans last? It’s been nearly three hours and I was in the middle of arranging to meet someone. I could have been shagging him by now  |

It's possible you just used up your daily allowance of messages - there are limits for everyone - Admin advised about this on an other thread.
Clocks are re-set at Midnight, so you can try again then.
If you broke Site Rules then a ban could be anything from an hour to permanent - though usually in those cases, you would have received a message telling you this. |

Sadly I doubt you'll find out. Of the several bans I've had I've emailed admin every single time asking why so I can see what I did wrong and not had a single reply, just had to wait for the bans to expire. That thing about being able to discuss if you think a mistake was made is either ignored or out of date. |

I think if you say a really bad word they sometimes block your messaging for a few hours, presumably while they check you out. I said something once that was banned totally out of context, can't remember what now - that the roads were ch@ked up or something similar lol! |

I think I had this also, an unfortunate combination of words got sent, that was the best reason I could muster up. They cleared again at midnight that night though. |

The powers that be have no one to answer to.... I had a pic up that only had a montage of 2 smaller ones of myself(which are still on ma profile) and a couple of Derby County badge logos with superramfan , that was ma username for about 9 years, imposed on the top of it. I uploaded that pic about 2 years ago, after much fucking around to get it right, and it was accepted and had been ma profile pic on many an occasion. Then suddenly after Derby had won their first game of the season, I made it my avatar pic, within an hour or so it had been rejected, so I tried to upload it again and it was accepted again. This went on for about 5 times until I got into a convo with Admin, who said I could "edit" the pic and then resubmit it.
Yeah fine, but if you're not telling me what part of the pic is causing so much offense after over 2 years, then how the hell am I supposed to know

It's obvious what the ban was for OP. You're lucky they didn't kick you off the site really.
You're a woman and you were sorting a meet. That's crazy talk. The site message system won't have ever had to deal with that before and you broke it. |

Maybe knowing its happened to a few people will stop others jumping to the conclusion it's a ban. After all glitches do happen and setting some idea of the situations in which it becomes an issue is the best way to avoid it surely. |

If it’s any form of ban you’d usually get a message from admin to explain. I was under the impression that private messages were not monitored in that way so highly unlikely to be a ban for that. More than likely some sort of system glitch |
