When mine were young, I didn't have any money to give them. As they got older they had to earn their own money as I still didn't have any. When they left home I was able to help in times of crisis but it was always paid back. We all know that none of us has disposable income so loans of any kind cannot simply be written off, that teaches bad money hygiene. |

I constantly let them off or round it down. I don't always get it back from my youngest daughter, so I write it off at the end of the year. I pay for things for them now and then so they don't have to borrow the money.
