I have a block of flats next door, they have a smallish tree right up close to my front garden, I started off cutting of a few branches that over hand my fence line, which your allowed to do, But then I thought if a jobs worth doing its worth doing right, so climbed up the middle of the tree and cut off a shit load more lol, do you think anyone will be knocking on my door to complain

If it’s a block of flats I doubt if anyone will care too much, if it was a single residence I expect there would be trouble!

How badly did you cut it?

What were you wearing at the time of the incident?

I always feel sorry for trees over a fence. They always have one flat side from a grumpy neighbour.

Let them be trees. All shaggy and suchlike

You know you've been here too long when you're reading that story and expecting the next line to say that he climbed the tree, looked in someone's window to watch them undress whilst he watched and burped his worm.

Under the Duvet

If it's a protected tree you could be in trouble.

What was it about the poor tree that offended you so?

The Shires

Just remember to return the branches to the flat side as technically they still own what has been cut off

I cut a load of low down branches to raise the canopy so let more light into the front garden, and had a few medium height branches that spanned out quite a bit of distance, so it is overall a slimmer tree now, I think it looks much tidier than it did all round now

that's exactly how it was looking from the first time I cut just my side of the tree, but now I have been all round, it looks much more balanced and tidy .
