Aside from a brief childhood foray into Philately, I've never really actively 'collected' anything... But through purchases and gifts have ended up with lots of various things I like and use that could be described as collections.
Lingerie
Sea glass
Newbridge silver tree ornaments
DvDs/CDs
Books
Original art
Recipes
I'm sure there's more... Just can't see any of it right now under all the clutter |

"Pound coins. Tin jar is full now. I wonder how much is my next holiday gonna cost
We started this in the summer, got £177 so far. "
I imagine mine will be around £250. I try to put 1 pound a day if I remember or if I have some change in my purse. |

Some work-related stuff has collectable value so I'll keep hold of the odd thing here and there, but I'm too wary of hoarding to start a full-on collection. |

I did this years ago .. filled one of those very large ' bottles' with various coins
Decided to count it and cash it.. picked up the bottle and the plastic had gone brittle and it shatte_ed, and had thousands of coins to pick up off the floor!! |

I've collected a lot of different things over the years:
Comics (still got a few boxes of bagged and boarded comics)
Star Trek
Trading Cards
Autographs
My current collections is Lego.
Safe to say I'm a bit of geek.

Myself and 2 of my work colleagues keep a tin in our lockers and put £2 a shift in it. We go from January 1st to December 1st. Last year I had £520 in mine. (A lot of shifts worked last year) this year I will have £450-£500. |
