Sorry it's the whole song but who cares...
When your sparkle evades your soul
I'll be at your side to console
When your standing on the window ledge
I'll talk you back from the edge
I will turn your tide
Be your Shepard and your guide
When your lost in the deep and darkest place around
May my words walk you home safe and sound
When you say that I'm no good and you feel like walking
I need to make sure you know that's just the Prescription talking
When your feet decide to walk you on the wayward side
Up upon the stairs and down the downward slide
I will, I will turn your tide
Do all that I can to heal you inside
I'll be the angel on your shoulder
My name is Geraldine, I'm your social worker
I see you need me
I know you do |

I would like to leave this city
This old town don't smell too pretty and
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind
And when I leave this island I'll book myself into a soul asylum
'Cause I can feel the warning signs running around my mind |

Well I've had many different girls inside my bed,
But only one or two inside my head
But oh, what I would give, not to stumble but to really fall in love |

"On a dark dessert highway, cool wind in my hair.
Warm smell of colitis, rising up through the air.
Up ahead in the distance, saw a shimmering light....
" I pulled up to the toilet.
Then went in for a shite |

I’l Opt for one of the greatest lyricist’s ever Bob Dylan (Eliza Gilkyson‘s version):
My love, she speaks like silence
Without ideals or violence.
She doesn't have to say she's faithful
Yet she's true, like ice, like fire.
People carry roses
And make promises by the hours
My love laughs like the flowers
Valentines can't buy her.

Bob is a lyrical genius. I can’t decide between Hurricane or Tangled Up in Blue as my personal favourite. |

I agree, he couldn’t sing to save his life especially as he got older, but there are so many beautiful songs out there covered by amazing artists, that just showcase his awesome talent as a poet/song writer |

I think he won a Nobel prize a couple of years ago. Richly deserved. |
