I might be rare amongst herto men in that I appreciate musicals. I blame my mum who always had them playing in the house. So give me your faves and maybe some I may not have heard of. Mine?
Always West Side Story
Cabaret
Les Mid
And I got to see Hamilton in the summer and have been obsessed with it ever since. |

"Shite"
TBH this was my thoughts on 'musicals' until I actually went to see one
I've been to see a few now and by far and large, they are great
I think people assume they are all Lloyd Webber and a bit pompous and really dramatic
Some are, many aren't
Cabaret and Chicago are fantastic
I've seen others, but these two remain my favourites

Why do you always do this?
If you dont like it, don't comment but don't diss others choices ffsnot dissing anyone just stating my opinion"
But if you don't like them there's no point posting |

I can’t wait to see Hamilton either.
Pretty much all that has been mentioned I adore. Wicked has a special place in my heart though. I never miss a Rocky Horror tour and I frickin’ loved Kinky Boots.
Funnily enough I’m just settling down to watch West Side Story. I adore Natalie Wood in that. I confess I haven’t seen it on stage which is very remiss of me. |

Most favourite - Return to the Forbidden Planet
Least favourite - Cats. It's quite possibly the gayest thing I've ever seen, and I've been to 2 gay weddings and several Prides

West Side Story. In the theatre or cinema.
Simply the most artistically and musically beautiful musical of all time.
Les Mis is wonderful. But the book’s so much more dramatic.
And I love all those oldies like ‘On the Town’ |

I have tickets for Kinky Boots in Sept and Priscilla in Oct next year. They’re both touring. Can’t wait. I was a little disappointed last time I saw Priscilla so I have high hopes the production is better. Enjoy Rocky. I can’t wait for June when it visits Blackpool x |

Strangely enough, Chess is one of the few shows I have seen that didn't appeal live on stage.
Musically, it's superb and in record/CD format, it transfers so well too. But in a live production, it gets lost in translation! |

I was lucky enough to see kinky boots on its opening night and I've seen it again. Luckily I'm not far from London and love a trip up to the theatre.
The only one I wouldn't recommend was An American in Paris - I fell asleep! |

Wicked
Billy Elliott - seen twice with the second one being the anniversary edition where all the Billy’s came
back which was fab

Love love love musical theatre.
I’ve never left a show and been more spellbound than when I saw Miss Saigon for the first time.
Wicked just makes me emotional I love it, the Lion King makes me heart soar and I get so excited when it starts and the animals walk out.
Lastly, Joseph because it was the first musical I saw for my 6th birthday when I thought Jason Donovan was going to be the man i’d marry lol. |
