PMSL. That is the ultimate piss take. Who cares how big your arms are and the fact you look like you're trying to limbo because the weights so heavy you can't actually curl it without arching your back because it's too bloody heavy. This cracked me up. Thanks for the lol momemt mate.

Converse are unsuitable gym footware

I don’t think they understood the flip the tyre, base up, knee on tyre, side control, flip the tyre, base up, knee on tyre, side control drill any more than the left pass, right pass, knee on belly, full mount, s mount drill on a punch bag.

I use converse for deadlifts, along with many of the world's best powerlifters, can't really argue with that

I think it’s because they both look like a pair of cardio Queen’s and they probably actually use the hamster runs.

But I want (probably the same as powerlifters) contact with the flooring, as much grip without them moving on my feet as possible.

From now on, I’m not taking off or turning down my iPod

I wear the tattiest pair of Converse you've ever seen to the gym.

I need my feet flat on the floor, pushing weight through my heels, total stability.

No fancy bouncy sprung soled trainers.

If my clients turn up in them, they train in their socks.
