I had opted for a full breakfast in a hotel yesterday morning, and when it arrived it had the usual sausage, egg and a slice of bacon, but it also had on a chicken nugget, chips and peas.
How bizzarre is that?

Loads of places are just trying to stand out these days and look hip. It's the same reason you can't get your food served on an actual plate these days. Part of a tree trunk, a slate, a newspaper, an old tyre, a paving slab, anything but an actual plate.
Either that or it was a very basic place that serves that sort of stuff for tea and you got some of last night's left overs accidently scooped onto your plate. |

I bought a meat and potato pie from Tesco and it had CARROTS in it! What is wrong with these people? M&P pies are spuds, pepper, meat and in a few strange places gravy. But never, ever Bugs Bunny's breakfast.
...It's the end of the world and I know it... |

"When I was in hospital with pneumonia a few months ago, whatever you ordered off the menu, it came with carrots, even the curry
Saving money on lightbulbs I reckon"
I did actually say What's up Doc? when one came to see me on his rounds |

"Very. I was at a hotel with a buffet breakfast, and they had peas carrots and baby potatoes out "
OMG, what is the world coming to.
Sounds like there are some strange food ideas out there.
I do believe that a full english should be kept traditional. The hotel was ran by a foreign couple, but I do think they should of googled what the British folk like on their plate.
We were also offered panacotta or pancakes with ice cream for 'afters'.
Just bizarre |
