I've been working weekends at the offices of a bank in Canary Wharf.
Two weeks ago they put up a 20 foot christmas tree in reception. I must admit it did look beautiful but was told that the cost of installing the tree from transport to decoration was 4 grand.
This weekend people came and started to take it down, when I asked why they said it was being replaced with another 4k tree because the bankers felt that after two weeks it was 'looking rather tired'
its not very often i'm speechless... ![](/icons/s/neutral.gif) |

"
It's not all bad, i got a great second hand tree and a load of baubles for only 2 bottles of champers.
Just need to cut a hole through my ceilings and roof. Oh well, can't have everyone."
That's what pissed me off.. If they're gonna do that why not get a rooted tree that can be replanted. As it happens they couldn't be arsed to carry it out so they chopped it up where it stood |
